Aurora is a Researcher for the Firelight Group TUS team and holds an MA in Anthropology (Archaeology) from the University of Victoria. In addition to collaborative archaeological projects, Aurora has worked with Indigenous communities to record Traditional Ecological Knowledge and Wisdom, and conduct Cultural Heritage Assessments. Aurora’s Master’s research focused on recording pictographs and petroglyphs in Heiltsuk Nation and Wuikinuxv Nation Territories. Aurora is experienced in using non-destructive digital software techniques to record and enhance images of rock art as well as being trained in underwater archaeology. Aurora has also volunteered for SEAS (Supporting Emerging Aboriginal Stewards) to assist with youth cultural rediscovery and empowerment.
