Gabe is an Intern with The Firelight Group supporting the Regulatory and
Impact Benefit Agreement teams. He is originally from Bushe River in the
Treaty 8 territory of northern Alberta and is a member of the Dene Tha’ First
Nation. His previous work experience includes student roles in the energy
industry as well as community roles such as working on the 2016 Canada
Census in the communities of the Little Red River Cree Nation, volunteering
with the Indigenous Engineering Students’ Society and working as the
Summer Student Coordinator for Dene Tha’ First Nation. Gabe appreciates
spending his free time doing complex math… just kidding. He enjoys being active
and learning about and experimenting with indigenous art. Primarily, he is
looking forward to learning and contributing to Impact Benefit Agreements.
