Kimberley is a Junior Researcher with The Firelight Group and is supporting the Regulatory Team. She is currently living in Ottawa, Ontario, on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg peoples. Kimberley is in the process of finishing her Doctorate in the School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies at Carleton University. Previously, she completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Science, and her Master of Arts in Global Development Studies at Queen’s University. She also holds a certificate in project management from Seneca College.

Kimberley’s research has centered on the development and facilitation of environmental policy as it pertains to resource extraction, Indigenous rights and title, and conservation efforts in Canada. In her free time, she likes to play team sports, spend time with friends, and can often be found with a book or a crochet hook in hand.
