Robbie Knott is a Red River Métis cis male who had the privilege of growing up surrounded by the sacred mountains of the Stoney Nakota Nations situated on Treaty 7 territory, in what is now known as Banff National Park. Robbie is a recent graduate of the UBC Masters of Community and Regional Planning Program with a specialization in Indigenous Community Planning. Robbie also holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from UBC Okanagan which has allowed a more comprehensive and holistic understanding of health and the social determinants that impact well-being and resiliency. Robbie firmly believes in an ethos of emotionally engaged planning and community empowerment, while actively decolonizing the professional planning practice and himself.
