Tiana (Seliliye) Lewis is Coast Salish and a member of the Sḵḵwxḵwú7mesh Úxwumixw.
She is a Research Intern with the Firelight Group in Vancouver. Tiana is an emerging planner who specializes in Indigenous housing and community development. She has significant experience worḵing in the public and non-profit sectors, with previous worḵ as a Project Planner at an affordable housing development consulting firm, and as a Projects Officer responsible for supporting the development of Indigenous housing policies and homelessness services in Vancouver. She enjoys worḵing closely alongside clients throughout the lifecycle of a project to successfully achieve project goals.
Prior to this, Tiana worḵed in Policy and Programs at the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. There she was involved in various projects that improved access to safe transportation options for First Nations and rural communities along the Highway 16 corridor. For her involvement in the First Nations Driver’s Education and Community Transportation Grant Programs, she was awarded a Premier’s Award for Partnerships (2018).
Tiana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography with a minor in Archaeology from Simon Fraser University.
