Kassandra Woods, MA

Experience

Kassandra (she/her) is a Technical Lead and Program Manager with Firelight. She is a settler and grateful visitor on the territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation.

Kassandra holds a Master of Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria, a multi-disciplinary program focused on traditional structures and ways of governance of Indigenous political cultures. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Conflict Studies and Human Rights, with a minor in Aboriginal Studies from the University of Ottawa.

Kassandra has a breadth of experience related to Indigenous health policy and research, and is guided by a strong sense of purpose in supporting Indigenous self-determination. She has background working with First Nation communities as well as Indigenous political and advocacy organizations.
