Experience

Kassandra Woods (she/her) is a Research & Program Manager with The Firelight Group. She is a settler and grateful visitor on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Kassandra holds a Master of Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria, a multi-disciplinary program focused on traditional structures and ways of governance of Indigenous political cultures. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Conflict Studies and Human Rights, with a minor in Aboriginal Studies, from the University of Ottawa.

Kassandra has a breadth of experience related to health policy and research, and is guided by a strong sense of purpose in supporting Indigenous self-determination. She has background working with First Nation communities as well as Indigenous political and advocacy organizations.
