Kerry Wabange, CHRP

Experience

Kerry Wabange (she/her/ikwe) is the People & Culture Manager, supporting the Workplace Services team at Firelight.

She is Anishinaabe/Ojibwe with Red River Métis heritage and is a proud member of Eagle Lake (Migisi Sahgaigan) First Nation which is located in Treaty #3 territory, on the Northeastern shores of Eagle Lake, ON. She works remotely from & resides in Six Nations of the Grand River.

Kerry has over 15 years of Human Resources experience in a variety of sectors: Post-Secondary Education, Aviation, Child & Family Services and Economic Development. She holds a Bachelor of Management from Athabasca University and is currently working toward a Master of Sustainability from Brock University. Most recently, Kerry served as a Human Resources Strategic Partner and part-time Professor at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.

Kerry is passionate about and has experience in integrating Indigenous values and wisdoms in Human Resource frameworks.
