Marie (she/her) received her education at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), through the Asokan Project: a business administration program funded by the Métis Nation of Alberta which served to both educate Indigenous women in the finance sector as well as celebrate traditional culture. Following her graduation, Marie pursued the accounting program at NAIT and successfully attained the Certified Payroll Manager designation from The National Payroll Institute and is currently pursuing re-designation. Marie has recently returned to Canada after eleven years in the United States where she led SAP project implementations for two Fortune-500 companies, focusing her talents within payroll and supply chain. Her experience includes system configuration, testing, infrastructure, change management, team development, and corporate instruction.
Marie has a passion for change, sharing knowledge, and she values integrity in building meaningful relationships. She is honoured to be a part of The Firelight Group team!
