Megan Roxby (she/her) is a Planner with Firelight supporting the Stewardship team. She is a euro-Canadian settler who grew up and continues to reside on the unceded, traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Megan recently completed her Master’s of Resource Management (MRM) from Simon Fraser University with a Planning designation, she also holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) in Sustainable Business with a minor in Indigenous studies. Megan’s graduate research explored priorities, challenges and opportunities in the development of a cross-jurisdictional, internationally supported Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area (IPCA). Her education and work experience are interdisciplinary and include supporting Nations in advancing culturally grounded stewardship goals while managing multi-stakeholder and rights holder complexities. Outside of work, you can find Megan pursing her goals in middle distance track running, riding her bike, or hiking.
