Experience

Aislinn (she/her) is a Research Analyst with The Firelight Group supporting the Socio-Economic Research Team. She completed her MA in Criminology at the University of Ottawa in 2021. Aislinn has conducted fieldwork with remote Indigenous communities in Taiwan to explore the qualitative impact of the criminalization of traditional hunting practices, and she has volunteered with various Indigenous rights groups in Ottawa, Ontario. As a settler, Aislinn is committed to decolonizing practices and she is excited to be doing this work with The Firelight Group.

In her spare time, you can find her practicing yoga, rock climbing, reading, writing, and gardening.
