Christine (she/her) is a Program Manager with The Firelight Group, and works with the Planning & Implementation team. Her work over the past decade has focused on collaborating with companies, NGOs, communities, and auditors in evaluating and implementing sustainable forestry practices. As a long-time forest auditor with a focus on ecological and social issues, Christine has travelled throughout Canada conducting field audits as well as engaging with local and Indigenous communities, landowners, and stakeholders to obtain input into industry and community management of the forest. More recently, Christine has been working on policy and standard development related to forest certification, evaluation of public, and Indigenous engagement in forest management planning, as well as Indigenous land use planning. Originally from southwestern Ontario, Christine earned a Bachelors in Ecology from the University of Guelph, and a Masters in Forest Conservation from the University of Toronto.
