Experience

Kelsie Francis is the Project Manager with Firelight supporting the Stewardship team. She has over 14 years of working in various project roles and environments. Kelsie comes from European descent, primarily German and Swedish and is currently residing in Carstairs, Alberta on Treaty 7 Territory. Carstairs is located on the Territory of the Niitsitapi or Siksikaitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy) which includes the Piikani, Kainai, and Siksika First Nations; the Tsuut’ina First Nation; and Îyâxe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda) which includes the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney First Nations, and Métis District 4.

Kelsie holds a Master of Engineering Project Management degree which she obtained from Griffith University in Gold Coast, Australia. She also holds a Bachelor of Technology Management, a Chemical Engineering Technology and a 4 th Class Power Engineering Certificate. Kelsie has various experience working within the Oil and Gas industry with a primary focus on supporting indigenous business and indigenous communities.

When not working Kelsie enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring with her family.
