Sarah Boivin, MA

Experience

Sarah (she/elle) is the Operations Director at Firelight, overseeing company administration, IT and communications. Sarah is a settler born and raised in Algonquin territory, currently based on Kanien’kehá:ka Territory, working out of the Firelight Kahnawà:ke office.

Prior to joining Firelight, Sarah managed digital service delivery for Indigenous Nations using software to manage land use data and consultation requests. She also worked as a facilitator for a training program fighting anti-Indigenous racism in the public sector.

Sarah received her Master’s in Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria, where her research focused on legal and procedural barriers to consultation being a fully nation-to-nation process.
