Experience

Taylor (she/her) is a Research Specialist on the Stewardship team. She is a settler with Irish and English ancestry. She currently resides in Southgate, Ontario, on the territory of the Anishinaabek, Six Nations of the Grand River, Saugeen Ojibway Nation, Haudenosaunee, and Saugeen Métis.

Taylor received a Master of Science (Earth and Environmental Science) and a Bachelor of Science (Biology and Environmental Science) from McMaster University where she specialized in wetland ecohydrology and herpetology. Taylor also completed a Graduate Diploma in Water Without Borders, a joint program between McMaster University and the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health. Taylor has experience working as an Ecologist and Project Coordinator and regularly conducts fieldwork including reptile mark-recapture surveys, aquatic and terrestrial vegetation monitoring, amphibian acoustic surveys, bat acoustic monitoring and hydrological monitoring.

Taylor is committed to supporting clients in community-led work that sustains healthy ecosystems and vibrant communities. In her free time, Taylor enjoys reading, baking, skiing, kayaking and swimming.
