Tosh (he/him) is a Research Analyst with The Firelight Group, working with the Health and Socio-Economic Research teams. He is a settler and visitor on the traditional territory of the WSÁNEĆ (Saanich), Lkwungen (Songhees) and Wyomilth (Esquimalt) peoples. Tosh holds a MA in Human Security and Peacebuilding from Royal Roads University, where his research focussed on evaluating impacts of health and education development projects from a beneficiary perspective, in six remote Indigenous communities in Laos. He also holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Victoria.
Tosh has over a decade of experience working on community health projects with Indigenous communities in South East Asia. His previous roles as Field Manager and Technical Advisor with the Swiss Red Cross have solidified his skills in project management, relationship building, and leading and building the capacity of local research teams.
Tosh looks forward to continuing to be involved in community led projects which promote peace, equity, empowerment, and self-determination, while fostering sustainable and dignified livelihoods.
