Wendy Margetts, MSc

Experience

Wendy supports Firelight as a Research Specialist on the Ecology team. She currently resides on the traditional lands of the Tkʼemlúps te Secwépemc peoples (Kamloops, BC). Wendy has experience working in indigenous communities, academia, government, and industry. She is passionate about collaboration and communication while working on research-focused projects. Her technical expertise are mainly in the areas of fisheries, aquatic ecology, education, and project implementation.Wendy received her BSc from Dalhousie University (specializing in ecology and environmental impact assessment), and her MSc from Thompson Rivers University. Her graduate thesis research focused on aquatic invasive species, and their impacts to species at risk.
