Colby is a Junior Researcher with the GIS team. He is a citizen of the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan and currently located in Montréal, in the unceded territories of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Treaty 6), Colby moved to Montréal in 2016 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Geography at McGill University. He started at Firelight as a Mapping & GIS Research Intern in 2022. 

He is interested in cartography, geospatial data, urbanism, environmental science, and their intersections, and is excited to continue to learn and grow while working with Firelight.
