Firelight’s Response to COVID-19 March 17, 2020 | Posted by Sabrina Fields, BA Firelight is paying close attention to the changing landscape of COVID-19 and its effect on communities across Canada and the globe. We take this matter seriously and are closely following advisories and recommendations posted by federal and provincial health officials to protect our staff and the communities we work with. This includes adopting current recommendations on social distancing, among other precautions, to slow the spread of the virus. In light of this, Firelight is pausing travel and in-person meetings for the time being. Firelight continues to operate throughout this challenge. We are fortunate to have a number of effective technologies and tools that allow our staff to continue their important work from any location. We are confident that these adaptations, including use of phone and video conferencing, secure online document sharing facilities and web mapping tools, will enable us to continue producing high quality work for our clients. Work that requires in-person contact will be continued at a time when it is safe to do so as the health of our clients, community members, and staff are our top priority. Firelight remains flexible and is prepared to adapt our approach as new information becomesavailable. Please reach out to our team if you have any queries or concerns.
