Elizabeth Kuroyedov (she/her) is a Researcher with The Firelight Group supporting the Indigenous Knowledge Research team. She completed her MSc in Anthropology, Environment, and Development at the University College London. Elizabeth’s thesis and fieldwork explored the impact of forestry policy, land claims, and environmental justice for an Indigenous community in Northern India. Elizabeth also has experience in gender-based analysis, youth engagement, and is a published author in the peer-reviewed journal Conservation and Society.

At Firelight, Elizabeth has contributed to a number of projects in metro Vancouver, northern BC, the Yukon, and central Canada. She has worked on issues spanning cumulative effects monitoring, Indigenous-led health and education, and traditional use mapping for environmental assessments and land claim processes. In her spare time you can find her volunteering at a community garden, riding her bike, or hiking.
