Makiko (she/her) is Firelight’s Chief Financial Officer and Finance Manager. Originally from Japan, she moved to Canada in 2007 and has been working and studying in Victoria, BC since then. After completing a Diploma in Business Administration at the University of Victoria in 2011, Makiko worked as a coordinator, liaison, translator and administrator for multicultural clientele in Canada and Japan. Makiko provides support to Firelight in financial administration, bookkeeping, and office management. She is committed to deepening her knowledge and skills while providing results-oriented service to the team and to Firelight’s clients.
