Experience

Robin is a member of the Miawpukek Mi'kmaq Nation. Her dad is Mi’kmaw and her mother is of French ancestry. Robin has also been adopted into nehiyaw (Cree) Nations. She is a mother of two nehiyaw children, and this is what drives her work. She was born in nistowayâhk (Fort McMurray) and grew up in Treaty 8 & Treaty 6 territory.

Robin has a Master of Science in Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology. She also holds two bachelor’s degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in Native Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Conservation Sciences. And she obtained two certificates at the University of Alberta, a Certificate in Aboriginal Governance as well as a Certificate in Sustainability.
Robin has experience teaching Post Secondary education. She is now working with The Firelight Group as an Impact Assessment Analyst.
