Karen is a senior researcher with the Firelight Group, working within the Social, Economic, and Health Research team.

Karen is a Registered Dietitian and holds a MSc in Human Nutrition from McGill University (2000). Since 1998, Karen has been actively involved in nutrition research, with a focus on traditional food systems, contaminants and food sovereignty/ security in Indigenous communities in Canada.
