Alexandra is a Researcher on the Socio-Economic Team at the Firelight Group. She is a settler with Dutch and French heritage and is grateful to live on the traditional territories of the WSÁNEĆ (Saanich), Lkwungen (Songhees) and Wyomilth (Esquimalt) peoples where she was born and raised. She holds a BA in English and Political Science from the University of Victoria, where she also completed courses in Indigenous Governance.

With a background in policy, she has a breadth of experience in the non-profit, disability and Indigenous rights sectors. She is grateful for the stories that have been shared with her and commits to being accountable to this knowledge in her work.


In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping, hiking, and kickboxing.
