Jason is an environmental assessment and regulatory researcher with The Firelight Group. Jason has managed the development of regulatory applications, annual reports, and environmental impact statements and other associated documentation for a variety of industries including clean energy projects, in-situ oilsands, open excavation mines, powerlines, transportation, and community development projects. Jason has also spent several years in wind and solar power project origination, portfolio management, and strategic environmental and regulatory advice, both as in-house staff and as consultant to project development companies. He has a Bachelor of Science in plant ecology from the University of Calgary and a Master’s from the University of Northern British Columbia conducting a comparative analysis of wind project regulation and environmental assessment typologies across North America.
