Jessica is a Registered Professional Planner, a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Planning Institute of British Columbia. As a member of Firelight’s Indigenous Planning team, Jessica brings over eight years of professional planning experience, working with Indigenous communities and Traditional Knowledge holders from the Northwest Territories, Pacific and Atlantic coasts, and beyond. 
 
Jessica holds an accredited planning degree from Ryerson University School of Urban & Regional Planning and a Master’s of Resource and Environmental Management with Dalhousie University. Jessica has co-authored publication on original stewardship principles and her graduate research explored nature-based solutions for adapting to climate change. Jessica believes in deepening our relationships through the exchange of stories, exploring the old and new ways to connect with one another and re-connecting planning to place.
