Above all, Kalene values the time she is able to spend with communities learning on the land, working with both western and Indigenous ways of knowing.

Kalene holds her Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Alberta: Augustana Faculty. During her time at Augustana, she supported research on mitigation strategies for human-wildlife conflict with an emphasis on beaver mitigation alternatives.
