An aspiring birder and lover of the outdoors, Kalene is a recent environmental science graduate from the University of Alberta: Augustana Faculty and is currently working with the Firelight Group as a Junior Researcher. Before starting with Firelight, she has been involved in research focusing on alternative means to mitigate human-wildlife conflict with an emphasis on beavers. She has previously interned with the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
